Fredericksburg Speedway is a
former baseball park
in Fredericksburg,
Pennsylvania.
It was home for the "
Lebanon Chix
" team until
Dale Richard purchased it in 1964
, and in one season, he
converted it into a race track
for cars, called the
Fredericksburg Speedway.
It was home for the
Sportsman cars
that were created by the late Will Kreitzer [ father of Alan ] and Ray Garver, and raced at the Silver Spring Speedway also.
Fredericksburg also had a second division called the
" HOBBY " cars,
that also ran at Silver Spring and the defunct
Goldmine
Speedway.
This was a 1/4 mile Speedway with one open Bleacher area, and one roof covered Bleacher Grandstand.
